Remigos will support two racers on the Mini Globe Race 2025

The Mini Globe Race 2025 is one of the most extreme solo sailing races ever created, covering 23,500 nautical miles around the world. Limited to 20 entrants, this grueling race will take up to a year to complete, testing the endurance and skill of sailors on a level never seen before. It is an unprecedented test, requiring participants to sail through some of the most challenging and remote areas of the globe, with minimal support.

Among the 15 participants currently preparing for the race, two sailors will use RemigoOne as part of their strategy, using it during the periods of no wind.

Meet our fellow supporters, sailors using RemigoOne on their journey

Dan Turner on Immortal Game is one of the sailors equipped with RemigoOne. Residing in Adelaide, South Australia, Dan’s lifelong passion for sailing has led him through a varied and adventurous path, including endurance running. After several years away from the sea, he’s now on a mission to complete his ultimate goal—sailing around the world. Dan will use RemigoOne during his race, especially in no-wind zones, where the outboard’s power will help him keep moving while other competitors struggle.

Dan Turk comes from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Dan’s sailing journey started on Lake Superior, and he’s since built his own 5.80-meter Class Globe sailboat, Little Bea. After completing a transatlantic voyage, Dan’s eyes are now set on the Mini Globe Race. Dan shared his words on using his Remigo, saying, “I believe that I have the strategy to utilize the RemigoOne in the no-wind zones. I hope to get a slight advantage over my competition, who are using the 'other brand' of electric outboards which can't do what the RemigoOne can do. So stoked to have them onboard!”

The journey begins on 11 January 2025 with the McIntyre Globe 580 Transat. With their first stopover in Antigua, the competition will intensify as they prepare for the next phase of the race, heading toward Panama.

We’re delighted and honoured to be a part of this extraordinary adventure, supporting our supporters Dan Turner and Dan Turk as they push the limits of sailing.

Seas the Day – Two Women, One Epic Pacific Challenge

In Spring 2025, Miriam Payne and Jess Rowe are setting out on an adventure of a lifetime: rowing non-stop and unsupported across the mighty Pacific Ocean, from Peru to Australia. They’ll face wild waters, unpredictable weather, and fierce challenges on this 8,000-mile journey. But they’re not intimidated – this incredible feat has been attempted by few, with more people having walked in space than completed this challenge.

Their boat, Velocity, is a 9.14m ocean rowing machine, and for up to six months, it will be home and companion on this epic journey. Equipped with everything they need, from survival gear to a water desalinator, and powered by solar panels, Velocity represents a sustainable and reliable ally as they row across one of the world’s most remote and demanding oceans.

Miriam, originally from Yorkshire, didn’t even know the ocean until she rowed the Atlantic solo in 2022, smashing records along the way. Her adventurous spirit and curiosity led her from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to facing the Atlantic’s waves – and now, she’s setting her sights on the Pacific. Jess, a Hampshire native, brings her own impressive resume to the challenge, from rowing the Atlantic to hiking England’s rugged paths and cycling through Spain. She’s spent seven years in yachting, supporting navigation on superyachts, and her expertise on the water is unmatched.

We are honored to partner with these two inspiring women in their journey, providing them with a RemigoOne for their training period. While their mission will be entirely unaided – driven by their pure girl power on the oars – we are thrilled to support them during training, helping power Velocity while they practice maneuvering through marinas and preparing for the big challenge ahead.

This journey is about so much more than just crossing an ocean – it’s about embracing the unknown, facing challenges with strength and heart, and inspiring others to follow their own dreams, no matter how big. We can’t wait to see where this incredible duo goes next!

Some partnerships just make sense. That’s exactly how we feel about Karpo Sailing, an inspiring Slovenian sailing team that’s all about skill, adventure, and pushing the limits.
We’re proud to join forces with them—because when it comes to sailing, exploration, and a deep respect for the sea, we speak the same language.

Who is Karpo?

Karpo Sailing is more than just a racing team— it is Matic and his father Maks Vrečko, who combined their experience, knowledge, and love for sailing to create something truly special. Karpo also isn’t just a sailboat; it’s a symbol of adventure, competitiveness, but genuine relationships, and warmth. It’s a place where skills are sharpened, victories are celebrated, and the purest form of sailing comes to life.

Karpo participates in all significant regional regattas and competes annually in the Rolex Middle Sea Race—one of the Mediterranean’s most prestigious and challenging races. Known for its intense conditions, including strong winds, high waves, and demanding areas like the Messina Strait, the race serves as a true test of sailors’ skill and endurance.

Beyond racing, Karpo is a hub for maritime education, hosting over 40 days of intensive skippers’ training each year. These courses adhere to the highest standards set by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), and are led by Maks, a certified RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. Training includes practical exercises in a variety of marinas, anchoring in diverse bays with different sea floors, and simulating real-world skipper challenges. The goal is to enhance the sailing culture of the Adriatic, offering hands-on experiences that go way beyond theory.

Why We’re in This Together

Sailors know the value of simplicity, reliability, and clean energy better than anyone. That’s why Karpo and Remigo are a perfect fit. When every piece of equipment on board needs to work seamlessly, demand little maintenance, and respect the natural world, our electric outboard becomes an obvious choice. No fumes, no hassle—just quiet, efficient power when you need it. For Karpo, sailing isn’t just about winning races—it’s about exploration, connection, and taking care of the waters we all rely on. That’s exactly why we’re excited to support them on their journey, and why we know their spirit aligns so well with ours.

Wishing Karpo fair winds and smooth sailing—can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us!

Official launch of Remigo North America

Big news! Remigo is now officially in North America! With Peter Brechter as the CEO of Remigo North America, we’re ready to bring our simple, hassle-free electric boating to a whole new crowd. And what better way to launch than at Charleston Race Week 2024, where we joined as a tech sponsor?

The Perfect Start

Charleston Race Week isn’t just a regatta—it’s a gathering of passionate sailors who push their boats (and themselves) to the limit. That’s exactly the kind of energy we love. We were there, chatting with sailors, soaking up the atmosphere, and showing how electric propulsion fits perfectly into the future of sailing—quiet, clean, and stress-free.

A Special Giveaway

To celebrate our launch, we gave away a RemigoOne to the winning J/70 team. This year’s champions, Doug Newhouse’s crew on Yonder, sailed hard and earned the top spot. We couldn’t be happier to send them home with an outboard that matches their passion for performance and adventure.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. We’re here to make electric boating easy, fun, and accessible—whether you’re racing, cruising, or just getting out on the water for a quiet moment. With Peter leading the way, we’re excited to connect with the North American boating community and keep pushing for a cleaner, simpler way to explore.

See you on the water!

We've Partnered with Strømsø Boat

Boating should be simple, sustainable, and fun—that’s what we believe, and that’s exactly why we teamed up with Strømsø Boat as our official distributor in Norway back in March 2023.

They know the Norwegian boating culture inside out and share our vision for a cleaner, quieter future on the water. With their efforts, more boaters are experiencing RemigoOne—our effortless, zero-emission outboard that makes every trip a breeze.

Norway, with its breathtaking fjords and strong environmental awareness, is leading the way in electric boating. As more boaters choose low-maintenance, efficient, and silent propulsion, we’re excited to work alongside Strømsø Boat to make the transition even easier.

We can’t wait to see more Remigo-powered boats gliding through Norwegian waters! Check out Strømsø Boat’s website to learn more.
