It looks like a hydrogenerator but it is not. Walking around the accessories pavilion at the Genoa Boat Show we were struck by a new electric outboard motor designed by Remigo’s guys from Slovenia.
A valid solution for both tenders and daysailers, sport boats and small sailboats: it is light (weighs only 13.5 kg), easy to store, it is simple to assemble thanks to a bracket with which you can lift it from the water, you can recharge from 12 to 36 V (and with the 120/240 V AC “superfast” charge) and guarantees a range of approximately 14 miles at three knots of speed.
At maximum power (roughly the engine is comparable to a traditional 3HP gasoline outboard) you will have 45 minutes of autonomy.
Using it is very simple thanks to the control bar, especially for maneuvers in port: above the motor body (obviously IP67 waterproof, IP69 in the immersed part, anti-corrosion and maintenance-free) there are two buttons, forward and reverse. An indicator will show you the battery status.
The price? 1900 € + VAT. What do you think?
